Humanity’s Greatest Mistake
Humanity’s greatest mistake is to live as if there is nothing after death. The Spiritual Mentors reveal to us that one of the biggest dramas in the True Homeland is undoubtedly the arrival of multitudes free from the shackles of the flesh, but completely ignorant of what the Invisible World is. It is a terrible shortcoming of the present-day religions. Laurinda V. de Mello, in a message psychographed by Francisco Cândido Xavier (1910-2002), wrote that, "For those who did not consciously prepare themselves, the body’s death is always a very big blow to the Spirit."
Life’s great secret is, in loving Life, to know how to prepare oneself for death, or eternal life. That is the reason why Alziro Zarur (1914-1979) repeatedly alerted that, "suicide does not resolve anyone’s anguish."
Goethe (1749-1832) used to say that, “those who have no hope for a future life are already dead for the present one.”
No one dies. One only becomes invisible to our material eyes. That is what Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935) understood when he wrote in Cancioneiro: "Death is the curve in the road. To die is just not to be seen."
Earth is a primary course
Many people do not understand and ask: "How did Jesus redeem men if everything continues as before?"
That is because they are ignorant of the Universal Law of Reincarnation. Otherwise, they would know that, as they evolve in the apprenticeship of the redeeming teachings of the Planetary Christ, the Spirits generally do not return to the flesh, remaining in fraternal activity in the Earth’s Heaven, or going onto more advanced worlds. In doing so, they give opportunity to new groups of less developed Spirits to reincarnate and progress spiritually on this Planet. Earth is a primary course.
